- Acting School Counsellor
Description
Hutchins School Counsellors are key members of the Pastoral Care Program, supporting students, parents, carers and staff. They work closely with Heads of School and Houses to coordinate wellbeing support — both preventative and intervention-based — across the school community.
Please note- This position is fixed term two days a week for Semester 1, 2027
Requirements
Deliver student wellbeing support: Provide counselling, referrals, and mediation for students, parents/carers, and staff, while building staff capability in social-emotional and behavioural support, and responding to crises or critical incidents.
Uphold professional and school standards: Maintain confidentiality, comply with child protection legislation, and model the School's values, Code of Conduct, and safety standards in all relationships and communication.
